Session Outline

Every session is structured, fast-moving, and done in under an hour. Here's what it looks like:

1
Warm Up Get the body moving and the lads introduced
2
DDC Burpee Test — 5 Minutes * Your baseline. We'll measure your progress against this across the 6 weeks
3
Strength — 10 Minutes Functional, compound movements. No machines, no excuses
4
Workout — 10–15 Minutes High-energy, team-based. You'll push harder than you would alone
5
Finisher — 2–5 Minutes The bit that earns the coffee

💪 All fitness levels welcomed — no man left behind. Every exercise is modified for niggles: sore backs, dodgy knees, slightly hungover heads. If you can show up, we'll make it work for you.

* Walking burpees are always an option if the jumping variation doesn't work for you.

👋 Here's the plan

Six Saturday mornings. Outdoors. No gym, no excuses. And you'll be done before most people have even had their breakfast.

🎯 Six weeks of fitness — starting the week after the May bank holiday and wrapping up the weekend before the school summer holidays. Build the habit now. Carry it into summer.

Train. Chat. Coffee.

Three things every dad needs on a Saturday morning. In exactly that order.

01
🏋️

Train

A proper outdoor workout — strength, conditioning, and movement. No gym required. Coached by Kevin, designed to challenge you without destroying you. You'll leave feeling like you actually did something.

02
💬

Chat

You're not the only dad juggling a business, a mortgage, a marriage, and three school lunches by 8am. Connect with a group of Dublin dads at the same stage of life. The banter is part of the workout.

03

Coffee

Post-session debrief. Bring a flask or grab one nearby. The coffee is where the club actually forms — the conversation after the session is often the most valuable 20 minutes of the week.

Every Saturday. 7:00 AM Sharp.

Six sessions. Six chances to turn up for yourself. All wrapped up the weekend before your kids break up for summer.

Why only 20 spots? Outdoor group coaching only works if the coach can actually see you. Kevin watches technique on every rep, helps with form to help you get the most out of your session, and adjusts in real time. That's only possible with a group of 20 or fewer. Once it's full, it's full — and there won't be a waitlist for this cohort.

This Is For / Not For

❌ Not For You If…

  • You need a fancy gym, equipment, or the perfect conditions to train
  • You won't get out of bed before 8am on a Saturday — ever
  • You're looking for a passive, watch-a-video type programme
  • Banter makes you uncomfortable
  • You want to stay anonymous and never talk to another dad

✅ Built For You If…

  • You're a Dublin dad who wants to get fit and actually enjoy the process
  • You've been meaning to "start again" for too long — this is the nudge
  • You want to train outdoors with a group of lads who get your life
  • Saturday morning is already your window — you just need something to show up for
  • You want to go into the school summer holidays feeling good in your skin

Frequently Asked Questions

Just yourself and a pair of runners. We train outdoors so dress for the weather — layers are your friend on a Dublin morning. No equipment needed.
We train in all weather — that's part of it. A bit of rain never hurt anyone. Bring a light jacket and embrace it. Sessions are only cancelled in extreme conditions and you'll be notified via WhatsApp.
100% yes. Every session is modified for all fitness levels. Whether you're returning after years off or just getting started, you'll be included and pushed at the right level for you. No man left behind.
We meet at the Basketball Court inside Fairview Park, Dublin 3. It's easy to find — just follow the sound of lads complaining about burpees.

Kevin Boyle — Dublin Dad Club Coach

Kevin Boyle

I'm a Dublin dad of three — and I know exactly what Saturday mornings look like when you're running on fumes, haven't trained in weeks, and can't find a single reason to prioritise yourself.

I've spent the last decade coaching hard-working dads. Not gym-obsessed lads with nothing else going on — dads with full lives, real responsibilities, and just enough time to do this properly if someone shows up and makes it easy for them.

Dublin Dad Club is the most accessible version of what I do. Outdoors, in the city, with a group of lads who get it. No gym, no contracts, no nonsense. Just show up at 7:00 AM, put in the work, and go home a better version of yourself.
